Teak- has a natural weatherability because it contains natural oils that clogs its pores and render it maintenance free, a wood for outdoors.Might not be so politically correct to use since most teak comes from colonial plantations in Java. Has a medium density offers good stem bending properties. Has a good resistance to chemicals. Is moderately easy to work.Found in India, South East Asia, West Africa and the Caribbeans. Is used to build ships, for cabinet making, garden furniturem chemical containers and decking.
